Installation preparation
Prepare the detail before installation.
A well-prepared installation starts before work reaches the site. Bring the selected product, architectural detail and applicable instructions into one clear set.
Document readiness review · These are information checks, not installation steps.
Identify the exact configuration.
Identify the product and configuration being supplied. Record the model or article code, light option, lengths, termination arrangement and accessories so the team can distinguish the selection from similar products.
Confirm input voltage, bending direction, maximum run length and compatible driver using applicable records. These are model-specific checks, not universal values.
- Record the model or article code and the configuration being supplied.
- Identify the light line, mounting arrangement, connections, driver and control method.
- List any details still awaiting written technical confirmation.
Gather the applicable records.
Gather the datasheet, dimension or mounting drawing, installation instructions and compatibility information. Check the scope and revision of each before the detail is released.
This page is a planning guide, not an installation procedure. Model-specific electrical, cutting, connection, mounting and sealing instructions must be obtained separately.
- Product datasheet
- Dimension / mounting drawing
- Model-specific installation instructions
- Compatibility information
Review geometry and interfaces.
Review the route in plan and section, with the emitting face identified. Mark corners, transitions, ends and cable exits so bending limits and termination space can be assessed against the selected product.
Locate the instructions for cut intervals, approved connections, sealing and mounting. Do not infer a method from a schematic or transfer one from another product family.
- Geometry: confirm the permitted bending direction and stated bend limits.
- Interfaces: identify the documented connection, termination and sealing arrangement.
- Mounting: obtain the instructions for the actual mounting system.
- Environment: confirm the specified assembly against the project conditions.
Resolve gaps before the work begins.
Resolve missing or conflicting information before work begins. Send the product reference, marked-up drawing and a concise question through the technical enquiry route. Keep confirmed changes with the project records.
Electrical work and safety checks require appropriately qualified personnel working to applicable instructions and local requirements. Conceptual illustrations do not establish wiring methods, isolation procedures or permission to substitute components.
Keep the final selection together.
Retain the confirmed selection, final drawings and applicable instructions together. Record approved revisions and substitutions so future maintenance starts from what was actually installed. A clear handover identifies component access and the records governing replacement.
